Abstract: The richness and seasonality of the subfamilies of the Ichneumonidae are studied in phytophysiognomies of gallery forest and “cerrado” sensu stricto of Reserva Boqueirão, Ingaí – MG. Samples were collected using two Malaise traps Townes model, installed in each physiognomy, between April 2005 and February 2006. Samples were collected weekly during a month in half of the four stations sampled. A total of 1116 ichneumonids were collected, 65.0% (n = 729) from the gallery forest and 35.0% (n = 387) from cerrado. An analysis of variance confirmed a difference in abundance between both physiognomies. Most individuals were captured in the Spring (48.0%, n = 533), 342 in gallery forest and 191 in cerrado. The second highest abundance corresponded to Summer, with 270 individuals (24% of the total). The most abundant subfamilies were: Cryptinae, with 343 individuals (31.0%) and Campopleginae with 259 individuals (23.0%). Representatives of 20 subfamilies were captured in the cerrado, while in the gallery forest 18 subfamilies were observed.
