Resumo: The theme “Criteria for classification living beings” brought by the Basic Curriculum Common of state Minas Gerais seeks build understanding of the ways adopted by science to group living beings. In this sense, the objective of this study was to present submit an experience report on the development of a pedagogical strategy, with the support of dedoche theater, for teaching Systematic Botany. The activity was developed in the discipline of “Botany in Teaching Methodology”, the 6th period Degree in Biological Sciences of UFLA. The class was prepared for classes of 7th year of Elementary School but was applied to undergraduates participants discipline. The class received the semiready dedoches and the plot of the story partially written that they should give continuity to it and then interpret. This part of activity was used as evaluation of practice. Assessment of the activity carried out allowed us to infer that the class enabled the learning content and the approaching Systematic Botany with the daily lives of students in a pleasurable way.
