Estilos gerenciais e suas relações com os desempenhos técnicos e econômicos na pecuária leiteira

Abstract

The present study was intended to identify the managemental style prevailing among dairy farms, to verify which situational variables influence the above-quoted items and verify their relationship with technical and economical performance reached in their businesses. The research work was conclusive type, the área chosen for the achievement of the work is considered as representative of the milk-producing regions of the state of Minas Gerais and encompassed rural interprises situated in the cities of Lavras, Ingaí, Ijaci, Itumirim, Ribeirão Vermelho, Nepomuceno, Perdões, Carmo da Cachoeira and Ibituruna. The sample was constituted of61 dairyformers associated to the Cooperativa AgrícolaAlto Rio Grande Ltda de Lavras,MG being 46 ofthe C rank and 15 of the B rank. The data were collected by the author, through interviews done directly with formers, by making use ofpreviously tested. To achieve the aims ofthis study, the model "the new managemental grid", multiple regression analysis and simple correlation analysis. The result showed that characteristic ofpredominant style prevailing among B and C milk farms was 9.9 ofversatile behavior. The situational variables which affected these styleswere the lessing ofvalue ofbuildings for those ofC milk and value ofthe herd and devotion for those B milk. This influenced the moment oftheir taking initiatives in the effort to solve the problems. This procedure is translated by the use ofstyles 1.1 ofmonitor behavior and 5.5 ofequilibrated behavior in the case ofB milk farmers and also 1.1 ofmonitor behavior but 1.9 condescendent in the case of C milk farmers in their respective dimensions. By the correlations, it was found that the managemental style ofB milk farmers, through the dimension sense ofhumcer and investigation showed a correlation with the economical performance. The ruling style of those farmers of C milk showed an apposite correlation with technical performance nevertheless, the correlation was positive when decision, initiative and effort dimensions were predominant.
