| Resumo: | This article investigates civil society participation in cultural policy structuring in the city Lavras/MG. We identify the main challenges to the implementation of a Sistema Municipal de Cultura (SMC) and its essential structural elements: its Council, the cultural planning and the cultural fund. Methodologically, we proceed to a literature review and documentary research on the subject, followed by a qualitative approach, to collect primary data through interviews with cultural stakeholders. To conclude we show some challenges, and relate its overcoming to the participation of civil society |
