Resumo: The present work involves the production, development and analysis of a Didactic Sequence, composed of ten classes of 50 minutes, based on investigative activities, contemplating the basic content of the Mechanics, for the first grade of High School. The Didactic Sequence was constructed in the perspective of the students being led to the construction of concepts and the formulation of laws pertinent to Kinematics and Dynamics. In the final part of the Didactic Sequence is made a qualitative approach to of the accelerated references and the forces of inertia, contents that are not normally explored in the classroom. Therefore, our research objective is to investigate, in the perspective of a qualitative research, if the proposed Didactic Sequence based on investigative activities contributes, in a significant way, both to the development of the contents of the Mechanics and to the insertion, from the qualitative point of view, of the related to the forces of inertia. The Didactic Sequence developed makes use of several pedagogical tools, such as production and elaboration of video scripts, experimental activities, reading of text and activities in groups. The development of the Didactic Sequence occurred during the regular period of class in classes of the first year of high school, in the morning shift. The construction of the classes that make up the didactic sequence was supported in the three pedagogical moments of Delizoicov and the educational product developed is attached, consisting of a manual for the teacher, and material for the student, containing the proposed activities that can be performed.
