Resumo: This study aimed to evaluate different culture medium in vitro growth of beehive ginger. The explants were cultured in glass vials containing 50 mL of different culture media. The culture media used were MS supplemented with 3% sucrose, Knudson supplemented with 2% sucrose, supplemented with vitamin, Knudson supplemented with amino mio-inositol and 2% sucrose, Pierik supplemented with 2% sucrose, Hoagland solution supplemented with 3% sucrose and Hoagland solution supplemented with vitamin, amino mio-inositol and 3% sucrose. A completely randomized design was used with five replications and four plants per plot. Significant differences were observed between the culture media for leaf number, shoot length, dry weights of shoot, root number, root length and dry biomass of root system. However, there was no significant difference in the number of shoots in culture media used in micropropagation of beehive ginger. In vitro cultivation of beehive ginger in MS medium provided the higher growth of the explants.
