| Resumo: | The geometric approach to the Partial Least Square (PLS) Method is natural and intuitive. It makes clear the similarities among the PLS, the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) and the Principal Components (PC) regression methods. We use the orthogonal projections to explain the step by step construction of the PLS algorithm, for sample and for population, as well as the PCR. |
