Abstract: The objective of this work was to evaluate the cooling efficiency of a moist porous plate built with expanded clay in a greenhouse, located at UFLA’s Department of Plant Pathology. Air temperature (tbs) and relative humidity (RH) data were collected during September 13 and 14, 2018, with portable sensors / recorders (± 3%) at 2-second intervals. The average efficiency presented in the evaluation period was 69.5%, characterizing good efficiency for this type of material employed.
