Resumo: Smoked water presents as a low cost and high response alternative to optimize seed germination. The objective was to evaluate the effect of different doses of smoked-water on the germination of Solanum lycocarpum and Solanum granulosoleprosum. It was used seed lots of S. granulosoleprosum collected in 2016 and 2019. Seeds of S. lycocarpum seeds were collected in June 2019. Smoked water was used in the following concentrations: 0 (distilled water, control) , 1: 5, 1:10, 1:20, 1:40 and 1:80 (v/v). For germination seeds a were incubated in a BOD with alternating temperature (20/30 °C with 12h photoperiod). Seedling root lengt was measured after germination completion using 5 seedlings per treatment. The experiments were conducted in a randomized design with data submitted to analysis of variance. Means wre compared by the Tukey test (p <0.05). The experiment with S. granulosoleprosum was conducted in double factorial (2 seed lots x 6 concentrations). Solanum lycocarpum did not showed response to treatment with smoked water. Solanum granulosoleprosum collected in 2016 and stored for 3 years presented higher germination and IVG than the new lot. The treatments using smoked water (1:5 and 1:20 dillution) showed significant increase in germination and IVG of S. granulosoleprosum when applied in seeds recently collected. All treatments showed increase in seed germination, when compared to water.
