Abstract: This article aims to characterize the evolution of national production on the subject of market studies, focusing on the articles published on the track "Market Construction and Dynamics" in EnAnpad and in the Anpad Marketing Meeting (EMA) from 2019 to 2021, placing them in front of the state of the art and current trends in the study of markets worldwide. To this end, we conducted a brief review of the current stage of market study theories, an historical reconstruction of the trajectory of the empirical field in Brazil, and a detailed reading of the 41 articles published in the track in question until the year of 2021. The analysis of the research corpus led to the construction of a production panel, which encompasses the predominant theoretical lines, methods, the profile of the authors and the articulation with the international state of the art, which allowed the elaboration of propositions for the progress of this field of studies in Brazil.
