Resumo: A large part of the environmental impacts are caused by anthropogenic activities, which culminate in irreversible situations when not properly controlled, giving rise to an increase in entropy at trophic levels. In general, the increase in entropy, pervades the reduction of the self-depuration capacity of the receptor bodies, runs through the reduction of the self-depuration capacity of the receiver bodies, caused by inadequate or insufficient forms of effluent treatment, with potential emission in the content of metals and organic compounds, which in this case, are responsible for the reduction of yeast oxygen levels in the receptor bodies, limiting the formation of oxides or partial or total emission of organic compounds. Therefore, the objective of this work was to evaluate the dependence of physical-chemical parameters in water bodies in relation to local lithology and mining activities. In this context, statistical analyzes of correlation and factorial analysis from the methods of principal components and varimax rotation of the Cartesian axes of the parameters according to CONAMA Resolution 396/2008, CONAMA Resolution 357/2005 amended and supplemented by CONAMA resolution 430/2011. Surface water samples were collected during two hydrological cycles in thirteen water courses in a region characterized by mineralized bodies with manganese, and, groundwater samples were collected in three deep tube wells over a two-year time span. The study region has an amplitude of fifteen linear kilometers, located in the Campos das Vertentes mesoregion, in the state of Minas Gerais, between the cities of São Tiago and Nazareno. Therefore, with the results of these analyzes it was possible to associate the concentration of manganese with the local lithology, thus indicating possible entropic variations of the environment characterized by natural conditions and manganese mining activities.
