Resumo: The cereal economy for biofuel production is expanding, as political and market criteria are seeking sustainable biofuel production, with reduced environmental impacts. The cereal most used for this production is corn, due to its high availability on the market, and ethanol produced from corn results in fluid and solid by-products. Dried distillers grains with solubles (DDGS) are the undigested part in ethanol fermentation. With the demand for sustainable biofuels, the production of this byproduct tends to increase due to its economic importance for animal nutrition for pigs, chickens, cattle, horses and dogs. Corn DDGS has been widely used as an alternative source in animal feed, due to its high nutritional value and reduced costs. However, the various variations found in DDGS can be an erroneous factor in the formulation of diets, affecting animal productivity. Even though it is considered a relatively new ingredient in the nutrition market, it is necessary to explore many variables to prove its capacity as an ingredient. alternative. Therefore, several researchers are evaluating types of DDGS from different supplier sources to standardize the ingredient in animal feed. Therefore, the objective of this work was to evaluate the use of different sources of distillers dry grain with solubles in the metabolism and digestibility of pigs in the growth phase. The use of different sources of DDGS for growth results proved to be efficient and has the potential to be a good substitute. Among the ingredients tested, ES presented digestibility coefficients similar to the control diet with corn and soybean meal.
