Impactos ambientais e perfil dos visitantes no Complexo da Cachoeira da Fumaça em Carrancas / MG

Abstract

The objective of the present work was to diagnose the environmental impacts provoked by the visiting in the Smoke Fall Complex in the town of Carrancas / MG, to study the visitors´ profi le of this locality and propose mitigating measures of the diagnosed environmental impacts. As a methodology, for the characterization of the profi le of the visitors, the application of “survey” was utilized, in the trails, measures of breadth and length, georeferencing, risk point analysis, status of conservation and scene beauty were performed; in the infrastructure, location, dimension, state of conservation and harmonization with environment were evaluated, the waters of the Falls were analyzed according to the resolutions of CONAMA numbers 274 and 357. The methodology utilized proved effective to reach the objectives proposed. Mitigating measures for the environmental impacts detected and alternatives to improve environmental conservation with increased economic and social inclusion of the local community, consistent with the objectives of sustainability pursued by eco-tourism are proposed.
