metadata.revistascielo.dc.description: | The water relations for E citriodora seedlings were determined, aclimatated for five treatments of irrigation. The seedlings were produced in plastic tubes with capacity of 50cm3, filled with a mixture of 46% vermiculite (46%), carbonized rice shuch (46%) e subsoil (8%). The tests begun 70 days after seed. The experimental design was stablished as randomized block in four replications. Stomatal behavior, transpiration, fotossinteticaly active radiation, leaf water potential and water relative content were analysed. The results showed that the seedlings developed adaptations to hydric deficiency. The stomata presented high sensitivity to the enviromental changes, with closure under condition of high vapor saturation deficit. Significant reduction was noted for the values of leaf water potential, mainly related to the irrigation frequency 1, at 15 days. The leaf water potential was a good indicator of physiological changes. |
