metadata.revistascielo.dc.description: OSB Panels of mixtures of clones of Eucalyptus spp were produced, using alternative types of PMUF and MUF resin. The average basic density of the studied clones was 0.56 g/cm3. The dimensions of particles were 85mm length, 20mm width and 0.60mm thickness. The nominal density of the produced panels was 0.70 g/cm3. According to the conditions in which this work was developed and taking into consideration the obtained results the main conclusions are: the values of MOE and MOR are affected by the type of resin; the values of internal linking and parallel compression are not affected by the type of resin; the values of water absorption and thickness swell, after 2 hours of immersion in water, are not affected by the type of resin; the properties of MUF and PMUF resins presented satisfactory values in accordance with CSA 0437.0; PMUF resin presented great potential for manufacturing OSB panels, reducing the production costs. The mixture of clones of Eucalyptus spp wood seems to be an excellent alternative for producing OSB panels of Eucalyptus clones wood.
