Custo de produção e rentabilidade na cultura da pitaia sob o efeito de adubação orgânica

Abstract

The objective of this research work was to evaluate production costs of dragon fruit (Hylocereus undatus (Haw.) Britton & Rose) as influenced by several sources of organic fertilizers during the first three years of production. To evaluate the technical coefficient matrix and the production costs from 2007 through 2010, the selling prices practiced by retailers at the CEAGESP (São Paulo state general food storage company) were surveyed. The other data resulted from an investigation carried out in an experimental farm. The treatments composing this experiment were distributed in the field in accordance with a randomized complete block design with eight treatments : check, bovine manure, chicken manure, granulated marine bioclasts, bovine manure + chicken manure, bovine manure + granulated marine bioclasts, chicken manure + granulated marine bioclasts, and bovine manure + chicken manure + granulated marine bioclasts. These treatments were replicated 3 times; the experimental plot was composed by 4 plants. The total cost per hectare of cultivating dragon fruit for 3 years (from 2007 through 2010) with bovine manure + chicken manure was of R$49,105.41 with a total income of R$63.120,00 and a profit of R$14,014.59. The items which contributed more for the costs of producing dragon fruits were planting, fertilizers, and labor.
