Abstract: | In this paper I intend to illustrate one of the possible underlying motivations that animates the project of the first Critique, indicating how the critique of reason was, in Kant's eyes, an imposed requirement, among other possible factors, for the gap between the German metaphysical tradition and modern physics, especially as outlined by Newton's works. Thus, this essay has the modest aim, without any ambition treating it in detail, a relation between the problem of the method proper to the philosophical discourse (central in the way in which Kant dealt with this "gap" between physics and metaphysics) and the style of writing - and choice of vocabulary - adopted by him in the work of 1781. Through this path, perhaps one can advance in the understanding of the somewhat “baroque” style, so often censored, with which Kant engaged his philosophical project. |
