| dc.description.abstract | This paper is fundamentedon the historical-critical pedagogy to discuss the importance of having the evolutionary theory as central in the biology curriculum of the primary education, in view of the school social function of creating the subjective conditions to overcome capitalism through the socialization of the historical knowledge produced by humanity, and the upbringing of critical conscience. From this discussion a research was done to investigate the number of scientific papers in Brazil regarding the centrality of evolutionary theory for the biology curriculum, aiming to contribute with the works that build arelation between the historical-critical pedagogy and the science and biology curriculum. 23 papers were selected, which are about proposals for the construction of the curricular component “Natural Sciences” and analysis of state curricula already built, about pedagogical proposals for the teaching of evolution, about the evolution theory in textbooks, about the acceptance by students of the teaching of evolution theory, and about the importance of evolutionary thinking for Biology teaching.None of them discusses the centrality of evolution for the biology curriculum, but some of these papers points to the historical and scientific relevance of that theory for biology teaching, giving support to the defense of a curriculum oriented by the biological evolution. | pt_BR |

| dc.description.resumo | O presente trabalho se fundamenta na pedagogia histórico-crítica para discutir a importância de se ter a teoria da evolução como conteúdo central nos currículos de biologia da educação básica, tendo em vista a concretização da função social escolar de criar as condições subjetivas para a superação do capitalismo, por meio da socialização dos conhecimentos produzidos historicamente pela humanidade, e da formação da consciência crítica. Partindo dessa discussão, foi feita uma pesquisa bibliográfica que investigou o quantitativo de publicações brasileiras acerca da centralidade da teoria evolutiva para o currículo de biologia, buscando contribuir com o avanço dos trabalhos que fazem a relação entre a pedagogia histórico-crítica e o currículo de ciências e biologia. Foram encontradas 23 publicações que discutem propostas de construção do componente curricular “Ciências da Natureza” e que fazem análises de currículos estaduais já construídos, propostas pedagógicas para o ensino de evolução, que discutem a inserção da teoria da evolução nos livros didáticos, a aceitação do ensino da teoria da evolução pelas/os estudantes, e que discutem a importância do pensamento evolutivo para o ensino de biologia. Nenhum dos trabalhos discute a centralidade da teoria da evolução na constituição do currículo de biologia, porém algumas dessas publicações, ao afirmarem a relevância histórica e científica dessa teoria para o ensino de biologia, dão respaldo para a defesa da organização desse currículo em torno da evolução biológica. | pt_BR |
