| metadata.ojs.dc.description.resumo: | O objetivo deste artigo foi analisar as características das transações entre os agentes econômicos, mapear seus atributos e verificar seus impactos sobre a estrutura de governança da cadeia produtiva de energia de biomassa de origem florestal na região de Lages/ SC. Utilizou-se como suporte teórico a Economia dos Custos de Transação (ECT). As informações foram obtidas por meio de entrevistas a quinze empresários ou diretores de empresas, visando à identificação e caracterização das transações entre os segmentos da cadeia e a análise da estrutura de governança adotada pelos agentes. O estudo teve como área de abrangência vinte e quatro municípios localizados na região. A análise das transações entre os agentes demonstrou a crescente busca pela realização de contratos, determinada, em grande parte, pela necessidade de garantia de suprimento de matéria-prima. Esta estrutura de governança tende a ser cada vez mais adotada pelos diferentes segmentos da cadeia produtiva, sobretudo, nas transações que envolvem os resíduos, seja pela maior procura destes para geração de energia ou pelo destino a usos mais nobres. |
| metadata.ojs.dc.description.abstract: | The aim of this paper was to analyze the characteristics of the transactions between economic agents to identify their attributes and to determine their impacts on the governance structure of the forest biomass energy production chain in Lages, Santa Catarina state. The Economic Transaction Cost (ETC) was used as theoretical support. Fifteen entrepreneurs or company directors were interviewed to identify and characterize the transactions between the chain’s segments and to analyze the governance structure adopted by the agents. The companies involved in this study are located in twenty four municipal districts in the region. Analysis of the transactions between the agents demonstrated an increasing search for contracts, determined mainly by the need to guarantee the supply of raw material. This governance structure tends to be increasingly adopted by different segments of the production chain, especially in transactions involving residues, either for energy generation or other more noble uses. |
