Abstract: This work intends to reflect on the signal construct of the narrative in Catatau of the poet Paulo Leminiski, by interfacing with the myth of Babel regarding the dispersal of the language which follows toward the sampling of the voice in the Catatau narrative. Based on the concept of the poet and medievalist Paul Zumthor’s voice, this work seeks to examine the generation of new signs that engender the discursive practice of Catatu.
