| Abstract: | Based on the book Beijo na Boca (1975), written by Antônio Carlos Ferreira de Brito (Cacaso), we aim to reflect on the concept of love that guides it. Built around a series of fragmentary poems which question the possibility of romantic love – as conceived by Plato – Beijo na Boca invites us to reflect on love´s dilemmas and its contradictions, with a great deal of irony and humor. This sort of disenchanted lyric is sustained by a poetic subject that has to deal with some identification matters, related to his girlfriends, ex-girlfriends and future lovers. |
