A palavra violentada: lucidez e sombra em versos de Cacaso

Abstract

Reflection on some verses of Antônio Carlos Ferreira de Brito (1944-1987), best known as Cacaso in the cultural universe of the 70´s, in Brazil, occupies our attention in this article. Some writings of the philosopher Hannah Arendt on violence work as a starting point for the understanding of a poetic in deep connection with its moment of production. Thus, concepts such as trauma, memory and testimony are understood in the light of verses that question the possibility of poetic representation. The poetic word, written under the institutional violence of the seventies, resists this same violence. It resists and responds with injured verses that bleed and cry. Verses that have value of knowledge and reveal that lucidity and shadow are also extracted from pain.
