Abstract: This work shows the development of a Didactic Sequence (SD) dedicated to the study of Wave Physics and Doppler Effect. The methodologies and strategies of the SD are based on the theoretical background of the Hestenes Modeling Cycles. The activities developed by the students during the SD focus on the students’ effective participation, conceptual appropriation and on the building of the physical models that would be used on the understanding of the analyzed phenomena. The SD development evaluation, together with the students, was carried out through content analysis that bases a qualitative analysis of the Students’ Conceptual Profile Evolution. There was evidence of a slight evolution from originally intuitive profiles to observations that show a gradually more empirical / rational profile.
