Abstract: | The relational aspects between companies and other partners in productive agglomerations have been highlighted as important elements for achieving competitive advantages through shared strategies, in particular through of productive agglomerations. Thereafter, this study aims to identify the benefits arising from the competitive process of forming an agglomeration of industries in the textile sector in the micro region of Campo Belo (MG), as well as identify possible difficulties in the formation of the cluster. Therefore, this work is developed from the perspective of qualitative research through a case study, basing themselves in a series of interviews with entrepreneurs, municipal governments of seven municipalities of micro region and other institutions to support productive concentration. Among the key findings, it is observed that the agglomeration is not yet so well organized, exposing the fragility of relations between the agents. Even if still present as an agglomeration disarray is possible to identify economic and social benefits for employers, employees, municipalities and the population in general. It is still possible to identify that agglomeration of industry in the micro range has led to gains in competitiveness due to the recognition of the region as a production hub, allowing more work to attract businesses and adding new partners. |
