Abstract: The Amazonian reality is known for a context of disorderly exploitation, its communities that rely on forest resources for maintaining the quality of life receive the insertion of timber companies in their areas with proposals for forest management. In this way, partnerships or agreements between timber companies and communities arise in response to a need to organize forest exploitation. In this sense, this paper presents a study related to the perception of the residents of a municipality of the State of Pará regarding the challenges and perspectives of the Company / Community partnership in forest management. The work is based on quantitative qualitative methodology, also using the case study technique, participant observer applying semi-structured questionnaires. In addition, a workshop was organized with the theme "Community Organization", which allowed participant observation, facilitating the identification of the reality experienced in relation to the partnership between the company and the community. The research presents results ranging from information on socio-demographic profile, production planning to community perceptions about Partnership, forest management and reflections on opportunities for improvement in the relationship between the actors involved in the scenario studied. According to the information gathered, it was possible to verify the commitment of the Company to the use of financial resources destined to the communities, but it was identified that community information is still lacking on partnership and forest management. On the other hand, the company, together with institutional partners, has been promoting initiatives and collective actions, as a result of planning and meetings among the partners. Therefore, it was concluded that the formation of the consciousness of the traditional populations is fundamental so that they are seen as subjects responsible for the forest resources present there, and that they can become independent and emancipated, that is, taking center stage in the decisions that are refer to the Brazilian Amazon, growing, producing and marketing their value-added products.
