Abstract: New alternatives of fertilizers to increase the productivity of soybean has been a constant concern of researchers and producers. The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of different doses of a commercial phosphite at different stages of a soybean crop. Five doses of a commercial phosphite (1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 and 3 kg ha1 ) at two times of application (R3 and R5 phases), plus an additional treatment (control) without any application was evaluated. A completely randomized block design, with three replicates in a factorial scheme was used (5 x 2 + 1). We evaluated the grain yield, the number of pods per plant, the number of seeds per pod, 100 seed weight, plant height and height of first pod insertion. The rates and times of application of the product did not influence the agronomical attributes evaluated. The use of phosphite by foliar application does not provide beneficial effect on grain yield in soybean crop.
