Abstract: The present research aims to understand the pedagogical posture of the literacy teacher and to describe the proximity or distance between the practice and the guidelines set out in official training documents. For this, we will carry out a qualitative research, and a documentary analysis, from the official documents that bring descriptions and orientations about the practices of reading and writing in literacy, such as the training books of the National Pact for Literacy in the Right Age (PNAIC). To support the theoretical discussions the research will be based on the theoretical studies of Soares (1998), to understand the process of literacy and literacy, Freire (2017); Tardif (2014), Nóvoa (2013), Gatti (2013); Perrenoud (2000), among others, to analyze issues related to emancipatory education, work and teacher knowledge that permeate their pedagogical praxis.
