Abstract: Short duration and high intensity rain research for draining studies are interesting for rainfall data analysis and process, project new rainfall data collection installations, plan an expound data database and research unexplored areas. The aim of this study was adjusted, by Gumbel probability function, maximum dairy annual rainfall data to obtain intensity/duration/frequency equation, using 24h rain breakdown on Guaraí-TO. Maximum annual rainfall data were used from 1983 to 2013. Theoretical adjusts were performed applying Kolmogov-Smirnov adhesion tests. Were also performed short duration rain day rain breakdown obtaining a good quality intensity/duration/frequency equation comparing models and data. That equation allowed maximum intensities rain calculation with different duration and return periods.
