Abstract: With the creation of SUS after the 1988 Constitution, the space in health in Brazil has been redesigned, allowing the population access to health services and the discussions that deal with this issue. These changes were the result of movements based on social mobilization, such as the Health Reform, which called for greater participation and improved health conditions of Brazilian society. Citizens began to contribute to the effective management of health is using space as health councils, forums and other means of discussion for that purpose, exercising democracy and citizenship. The objective of this study is to analyze the public spaces available on the Internet for discussion and social participation in health which may constitute potential public spheres in the perspective of Habermas. Based on this proposition and the definition of public sphere discussed by Habermas, obtained as a result, the potential sites are considered public spaces that can become public spheres over time, however, still can not be considered as such since not have all the characteristics defined by Habermas for the public sphere. It is not enough available public space on the Internet, there must be popular participation in discussions about major public health problems in Brazil.
