Abstract: This work was carried out in a matrix of agricultural fields and pastures where small fragments of forest are connected by vegetation corridors inserted in transitional Mata Atlântica and Cerrado landscape, in Lavras, MG. The area of research is composed by five forest fragments. This work was conducted from March to November/2007 with during 85 days. The methodology to reports mammals was footprints in sand traps and photographic traps. It was registered 17 species of medium and large-sized mammals. Didelphis was the most abundant genera, (represented for D. albiventris and D. aurita species), corresponding to 92,7% of the records. It was recorded 4 species of carnivores (C. thous, C. semistriatus, L. pardalis and N. nasua). The dominance of the genera Didelphis pointed faunal community composition disturbance, which cause is likely the fragmentation and the lost of habitat as a consequence of human activities.
