Resumo: This research investigates the possibilities and implications of how working with cinema in the classroom has been in a technological era. The objective is to contribute to clarifying the importance of the cinema not being worked at school as it is watched outside it. The investigation includes a bibliographic review of cinema at school, as well as cinema outside of it, specifically in the city of Tiradentes, where the Tiradentes / MG Film Festival takes place, a festival of great relevance in Brazil. The study of the criticism of C. Türcke on the impacts of audiovisual images on human attention and the reflective and critical analysis of the experience with cinema by the author of this work, who is also a teacher in a municipal public school. Thus, after the systematization of studies carried out on the theme in Brazil and the written reconstitution of the experiences as a teacher, student and frequenter of the author's own cinema, we intend to discuss them in the light of the criticism elaborated by Türcke on the impacts of the shocks of images pointing to the implications and possibilities of working with cinema today. There is no comfort zone or accommodation when studying cinema, its expression implies possibilities, being an endless search for provocations, questions and undeniable revolutions in our socio-cultural history, both for the way we see the world and for the cultural industry. This resource is a medium present in our current Brazilian scenario, therefore, the school cannot and should not trivialize this didactic-pedagogical instrument.
