| Abstract: | The aim of this work was the study of the silicon and phosphorous concentration on diethyltriaminepentacetic acid (DTPA) co-ordination with heavy metals like Cu, Cd, Pb and Zn in a contaminated soil, using infra-red spectroscopy. The polluted soil samples were collected in a zinc extraction industry area. The samples were treated with different amounts of silicon and phosphorus per 90 days, when they were submitted to infrared analysis. It was achieved that the coordina-tion of heavy metals-DTPA is influenced by the silicon and phosphorus concentration. |
