Abstract: This study aimed to evaluate the physiological behavior of cultivars of coffee, subject to the availability of water in different soil and edafoclimatic conditions to the region of Goiania. The irrigation scheduling used in this study was: no irrigation, irrigation according to the percentage of wet area and the coefficient of location. The irrigations were applied to every 4 days, with water depths depending on the evapotranspiration in the period and the time of application of water according to irrigation management. Three lines of planting were selected in order to do the analysis of the physiological behavior of the cultivars Catimor, Catucaí, Iapar, Oeiras and Obatã submitted to the three irrigation scheduling. We evaluated the potential of water in soil, plant and the atmosphere, the diffusive resistance of water vapor and transpiration by stomata. The cultivars Catimor and Catucaí were the ones that showed higher and lower resistance to the conditions edafoclimatic region of Goiania, respectively.
