Abstract: In the present work new records of mites collected in 131 different caves from 15 states of Brazil are given. A total of 48 families have identified, of whom 24 arenew records. In spite of increasing knowledge of Brazilian cave fauna, many groups (mainly small invertebrates) are little known, reason why professionals in taxonomy of groups like mites are needed. In spite of their importance, little attention from researchers has been given to mites.
