Abstract: The Cerrado is the second largest Brazilian biome, playing important role in economic, social and environ-mental contexts, and being threatened by the expansion of the agricultural frontier. In this study sampled wasa remnant of Savannah through the establishment of 72 sample plots of 500 m2. The results indicated thepresence of 66 plant species, belonging to 29 families. The species Pouteria ramiflora (Mart.) Radlk. and Vochysia elliptica (Spr.) Mart. were the most abundant, with 335 and 328 individuals, respectively. The fami-lies with the highest number of species were Fabaceae, Apocynaceae and Myrtaceae, corroborating studies in other regions of the country. The results identified in the dominance of the field closed, composing a mosa-ic with smaller proportions of cerrado strict sense and veredas. The richness of species found indicates the good state of preservation of the remainder, reinforcing the need for preservation based on technical and sci-entific surveys for the protection of the area.
