Resumo: The insertion of organizations in networks brings advantages, both financially and in terms of social and relational capital. This also applies to lodging facilities in Brazil. Contexts of exceptions, such as a pandemic, reformulate the need for partnerships. Specifically, tourism-related sectors have been greatly affected by the coronavirus pandemic that has ravaged the world since 2020. Taking into consideration that other exceptions may come, it is relevant to propose a model in which firms prepared for exception contexts have competitive advantages over others. The objective of this thesis is to propose and test an explanatory model of the performance of Brazilian lodging facilities, based on Supplier Relationships and Dynamic Capabilities. The relationship between Dynamic Capabilities and Performance has been widely discussed in academia. The novelty of this proposal is highlighted by (1) considering Supplier Relationship as an antecedent of Dynamic Capabilities; (2) treating Ambidexterity as a Dynamic Capability; (3) studying Sanitary Capability as a dimension of Dynamic Capabilities; (4) pointing out Performance in Exception Operations as a dimension of Organizational Performance. The data were collected through a survey with managers of means of lodging in Brazil, and the final sample was 320 observation units. The model was tested by means of Structural Equations. The various tests carried out showed the robustness of the model, including the multi-group test, since most hypotheses were confirmed, i.e., Supplier Relationship is composed of Collaboration, IT Skills and Coservices, Dynamic Capabilities (ambidexterity, innovation capabilities, health capabilities, absorptive capacity) positively impact organizational performance, which, in turn, has as dimensions the financial performance, the performance in exception operations and innovation performance.
