Abstract: This work aimed to evaluate the adaptability and stability of white maize hybrids in different regions of Brazil, estimate the general and specific combining ability of white maize genotypes and classify according to heterotic groups: Tuxpeño and Non-Tuxpeño. The genotypes were obtained by crossing two testers (L193W and L208W) with 25 inbred lines and 12 single-way hybrids (females). The hybrids were tested in five locations in the 2019 “safrinha” season and in four locations in the 2019/20 summer season. The experimental design used was a randomized block design with two replications and a plot of two rows and five meters in length, spaced at 0.70 m. Grain yield was obtained after harvesting with a combined harvester adapted to parcel harvester, by weighing the grains of each parcel, corrected for 13% moisture and extrapolated to kilograms per hectare. After data collection, analysis of variance by location and joint was performed. The adaptability and stability analysis was processed using the Eberhart and Russell methodology and the general combining ability (GCA) and the specific combining ability (SCA) were estimated using the Line x Tester method of analysis. Analyzes were performed using the Genstat® program. Lines L193W and L208W enabled the discrimination of heterotic groups of white corn lines. There are inbred lines with differential adaptability depending on the growing season (summer/”safrinha”). The three-way Hybrid HT30B, by the method of Heberhart & Russell, has adaptability and stability, in addition to associating high productivity, characteristics suitable for commercial hybrids.
