Abstract: The genus Dahlia is originally from Mexico and its tubers stand out as one of the most used method in the cultivation of this plant; however, there are still few descriptive works on the morphometry of these propagules. Thus, the objective was to evaluate the phenotypic variety and production of tubers of Dahlia plants. The characterization was performed by analyzing the divergence of quantitative data on the number, width (cm), length (cm) and weight (g) of the tubers, obtaining the dissimilarity matrix. The data sets were grouped by the method of optimization of Tocher. From the cluster analysis, access distributions were obtained in four groups. The group I consists of 17 accesses, groups II and III for one access each and group IV consists of two accesses. The grouping method was efficient in identifying the materials that differ from the others and the accesses that showed the greatest similarity.
