| Abstract: | This study aimed to develop a proposal for an innovative product in the electronics sector, in this case, a portable breathalyzer for smartphones. In view of this, to formalize the product concept, some support tools for the Product Development Process (PDP) were used, namely, brainstorming, market research, SWOT analysis, Ishikawa diagram, analysis analysis, FMEA analysis and ergonomic analysis. In addition, this study was based on a descriptive research with a hybrid approach. Finally, the quality and lowcost associated with its production were listed as characteristics of the product, and the viability of the product was proven. As a limiting aspect of this study, the development of a marketing plan in future studies was mentioned. |
