| Abstract: | Feline idiopathic cystitis (FIC) is a common disease of domestic cats, being one of the main causes of feline low urinary tract disease (FLUTD). Its diagnosis is made by excluding other causes and therapeutic management can be variable, given that, cats can often present recurrence or chronicity of the disease. Thus, this paper evaluates different aspects of the FIC, as pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment, exploring new perspectives presented in literature. |
