Abstract: Ehrlichiosis is an infectious disease of dogs. It is caused by rickets of the Ehrlichia genus and transmitted by ticks of the Ixodidae family. The main clinical signs are depression, weight loss, pale mucous and bleeding. Disease is shared in three distinct levels: acute, subclinical and chronic. The diagnosis is based in anamnesis, clinical findings, haematological alterations, biochemistry exams and complementary tests. Once diagnosed should beestablished an adequate treatment and preventive actions.
