| metadata.ojs.dc.description.resumo: | Este trabalho tem por objetivo refletir sobre os rumos da pesquisa agrícola no Brasil, tendo como pano de fundo as diversas transformações que estão ocorrendo na organização do setor. Sua elaboração pautou-se por uma estratégia metodológica qualitativa, com o levantamento e análise de dados obtidos por meio de entrevistas semi-estruturadas. Os sujeitos da pesquisa foram pessoas ligadas ao setor agrícola do estado de Santa Catarina, compreendendo pesquisadores, extensionistas, dirigentes de empresas de pesquisa e extensão rural, representantes de associações de produtores, ex-secretários estaduais de agricultura, assessores de governo, entre outros. Da análise do conteúdo das entrevistas, as principais questões que emergiram dizem respeito ao papel do Estado, à participação dos produtores na definição dos objetivos e políticas de pesquisa, aos interesses da iniciativa privada e ao surgimento da figura de um “novo pesquisador”. Essas questões revelam novas demandas da sociedade, o que exige a concepção de novos modelos de pesquisa que, por um lado, estejam sintonizados com essas demandas; por outro lado, que promovam a integração mais crítica da pesquisa agrícola à lógica da globalização da economia. |
| metadata.ojs.dc.description.abstract: | The present work aims at reflecting upon the future of agricultural research in Brazil, having as a background numerous changes that are taking place in the organization of such sector. It is based on a qualitative methodological strategy, the data survey being carried out by means of semistructured interviews. The interviewees were people linked to the agricultural sector in the State of Santa Catarina, namely, researchers, extension activity personnel, directors of research companies and rural extension, representatives of producers associations, former state secretaries of agriculture, government advisors, amongst others. From the analysis of the interview contents, the main issues raised are related to the role of the State, the participation of the producers in the definition of research goals and policies, the interests of private initiative, and the uprising of the figure of a "new researcher". Such issues reveal new demands from the society, urging the conception of new research models, which, on the one side, are tuned with those demands, and on the other side, promote a more critical integration of the agricultural research and the logic of the economy globalization. |
