|metadata.artigo.dc.description.abstract:||The market for software products offered as a service (SaaS) is growing steadily and has attractedsuppliers from different segments of the global IT market. However, the use of the SaaS products brings arange of challenges,both in the organizational, cultural and technological areas. A difficulty that existstoday is the lack of methods and models for assessing the quality of these products. This document presentsa method to assess the quality of a software product offeredas a service, named SaaSQuality. Theproposed method has a quality model appropriate to the SaaS context, based on standards and models ofsoftware quality (ISO 9126) and models for IT management (ITIL and COBIT). The experimental resultsobtained througha case study show that the method offers suitable assessment practices for Software as aService.|
