Abstract: The objectives of this study were: to evaluate different levels of intervention in the floristic composition of the wood vegetation in a savanna senso strictu area, seven years after the interventions; to assess the behavior of the diversity and of the equability; to determine the floristic similarity between the two measurements. The treatments were implemented in plots of 1 hectare distributed in 3 blocks. The treatments were: control, clear cutting and reduction of 50, 60, 70, and 80% of the basal area with a decrease of 20% in the original De Liocourt quotient value, and reduction of 50, 60, 70, and 80% of the basal area with an increase of 20% in the original De Liocourt quotient value. The treatments with larger intervention index presented the major impacts over the floristic structure. However, for all treatments the floristic structure recovered after seven years. There was an average reduction of 18% in the basal area between the two measurements. However, the average height and the number of plants per hectare recovered during this time. Considering the floristic diversity and the number of species, there was a significant difference between the two measurements. On the other hand, considering the equability the difference was not significant. As a conclusion, selective interventions as well as clear cutting were responsible for alterations in the floristic composition of the Cerrado vegetation.
