Resumo: The research intended to investigate the educational processes realized with Early Childhood Education educators (kindergartens and pre-schools) on gender and sexuality themes in the study of the book "Weaving gender and sexual diversity in the early childhood education". The qualitative and quantitative research consisted of a case study of exploratory and descriptive profile and it happened during the second semester of the year 2015 in the city of Alfenas (MG). A literature review of the subject was carried out starting from a post-critical theoretical background. The first step for the beginning of the research was a lecture for the Human Development Assistants (HDAs) that work with children from 0 to 5 years where the book and the call invitation for the reading and its study were presented. Reviews were proposed, discussed during the modules and analyzed. The professionals (HDAs) also recorded observations of the daily educational processes of their activities in the Early Childhood Education realized with the children. Starting from this research it was intended that the professional performance in relation to the sexuality issues would emerge intentionally and / or spontaneously, so interfering in the various issues related to the educational processes in terms of gender and sexuality in the Early Childhood Education Institutions.
