| Abstract: | The film has been used increasingly as a teaching resource. In this sense, the objective of this study was to report the development and application of a activity using the film to the subject of education “Infectious and parasitic diseases.” The activity was developed during the course of Methodology of Biology Education Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, Federal University of Lavras. The film “Tropical Dreams” was presented, and from this the students built a text, which allowed students to take ownership of the concepts related to the subject. From this activity could be observed that the use of film as a teaching strategy in this methodology was quite efficient to work with the theme “infectious and parasitic diseases” for enabled students to broaden their view on the subject and allowed the same discuss a contextual perspective. |
