Custos de produção, processamento e comercialização de sementes de soja (Glycine max (L.) Merril), no município de Ponta Grossa - Paraná, safra 1978/79

Abstract

The main objective of this work was to analyse soybeaa seeas production, processing and commercialization in the municipaiity of Ponta Grossa, State of Paranã, for the 1978/79 year crop. The dava for this research were obtained trough direct inter views with 31 farmers with soybean production between 12,000 and 300,000 kg and with 5 producers that had processing units ir, the área in study. • Averag. fixed cost, average variable cost and average total cost, as well as participation of each item composing the cost were calcu,ated from the basic Information. The farmers were stratified according to their production. Among the farmers interviewed we observed an average área per p-,-operty of 649.49 ha, of wich 85.63% was used for agricultural purporse and cattle-breeding, showing the high index of land utilization as a production factor. The total loss estimated for the production cicle of soybean seed-was 66.87% of the total production. Of this, 40.49% was repro ved on the production fields; 20.10% trough analysis and 6.29% du ring processing. The average total cost of the 31 farmers was Cr$ 365.05 per kg bag of soybean seed, of wich Cr$ 117.23 represents average fixed cost and Cr$ 247.82 correspond to the average variable cost. The average cost of processing of the 5 producers of soybean seed in study was Cr$ 95.08 per 50 kg bag, of wich Cr$ 60.79 repre sents average fixed cost and Cr$ 39.21 correspond to the average va riable cost. • The average total cost of commercialization was Cr$ 180.04 per 50 kg, of wich Cr$ 95.08 represents processing cost; Cr$ 64.10 repre sent bônus cost; Cr$ 3.49 farmers' commercialization cost and Cr$ 17.37 corresponds to the producers cost. Both, the production and processing sector of soybean seed " -obteined profits of Cr$ 44.20 and Cr$ 79.34 per 50 kg bag, respaati ve ly. The production sector participation in the retailer price of soybean seed was Cr$ 61.49% of wich 53,77% used to cover production and commercialization cost, remaining a 7.72% profit.
