| Abstract: | Two studies were conducted under nursery conditions to evaluate the effect of organic residue on the growth of coffee seedlings in two cultivars. The utilized experimental design was that of randomized blocks and treatments consisting of sources of organic residue, poultry litter 80l/m3 ; farmyard manure 300 l/m3 ; earthworm humus 200 l/m3 and the control without the addition of organic residue. The experiments distinguished by the cultivars IAC Catuaí H2077-2-5-44 and Mundo Novo IAC 379- 19 respectively for the first and second trials. From the results, it is found that both the cultivars presented differences about the growth characteristics and the sources of organic residues influence the development of the coffee seedling differently. |
