|Title:||UTILIZAÇÃO DE MÉTODOS HIERÁRQUICOS DE AGRUPAMENTO EM CISTERNAS DE PLACAS NO PAJEÚ PERNAMBUCANO|
|Publisher:||Editora UFLA - Universidade Federal de Lavras - UFLA|
|Description:||Water quality is considered as a series of physical, chemical and biological characteristics. These qualities should be studied in detail, taking into account that may contain substances harmful to human health. So, the program “one million cisterns”, sponsored by the Brazilian government, has emerged as an alternative that has been established throughout the semi-arid northeastern of Brazil, for its speed of construction, the low cost of the work execution and visor easy way to capture rainwater that are pretty slim in the Brazilian semiarid. This study aimed to apply multivariate statistical methods of hierarchical clustering in order to group these cisterns according to their similarities or dissimilarities according to the measured variables. The results show that the Ward method presented the best distribution of tanks between the groups, in addition providing the highest average variability among groups. The centroid method had the lowest variance of internal groups, while the method of the average distance had the highest cophenetic correlation. Therefore, the solutions obtained by agglomerative hierarchical method suggested good grouping of tanks according to their water quality in Pajeú.|
