| metadata.revistascielo.dc.description.resumo: | Procurou-se determinar o efeito de cinco temperaturas (17,0ºC; 21,0ºC; 25,0ºC; 29,0ºC e 33,0oC) na sobrevivência e no desenvolvimento ninfal de Podisus distinctus (Dallas) (Heteroptera: Pentatomidae), em laboratório. O período de incubação decresceu com o aumento da temperatura, sendo menor a 29,0oC e letal a 33,0oC. Nesse intervalo não ocorreu eclosão de ninfas, indicando que o limite térmico superior dessa espécie encontra-se entre essas temperaturas. A temperatura ótima para a viabilidade de ovos foi de 23,7oC. Ninfas de Podisus distinctus completaram seu desenvolvimento entre 17,0ºC e 29,0oC, com temperatura ótima de 26,3oC e maior viabilidade ninfal em temperaturas intermediárias (19,0ºC e 25,0oC). Assim sendo, a temperatura ótima, para a criação desse predador situa-se entre 25,0ºC e 27,0oC. |
| metadata.revistascielo.dc.description.abstract: | The objective of this research was to study the effect of five temperatures (17ºC; 21ºC; 25ºC; 29ºC and 33oC) on survival and nymph development of Podisus distinctus (Dallas) (Heteroptera: Pentatomidae) in laboratory. Period of egg incubation decreased with temperature elevation being lower at 29oC and lethal at 33oC. This indicates that superior thermal limit for this species can be found between these temperatures. Optimal temperature for egg viability was 23.7oC. Nymphs of Podisus distinctus completed its development between 17 and 29oC with optimal temperature at 26.3oC with higher nymph viability at intermediate temperatures (19ºC and 25oC). Optimal temperature for rearing this predator lay between 25ºC and 27oC. |
